This is a very important interview, and perfectly augments my videos on society as a cult: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIay3uL17Jg

As long as this world is an illusion by nature there will be difference of opinion. A cult is a collection of ideas, like a chain of thought, realised. A cult is a social group. Therefore there is numerous cults to which people can subscribe to. They centre around beliefs or interpretations of "truth" or "facts". One can join or leave (thought) cults at will, based on their interpretation of reality which can fluctuate based on the interpretation of life experiences. I guess the negative connotations with the word "cult" causes people to be reluctant to use the word. People may prefer other more neutral terms such as "politics" or "personal brand" or "in-group and outgroup" or "culture" or "style" or 'lifestyle" or "beliefs" or "personal beliefs" or "values" or "religion". IQ does play a role in what people gravitate towards, and IQ is something we are born with (notwithstanding it can be increased or decreased by our life). Funny that people are happy to use the word culture but not cult, but that comes down to the cult on words and interpretation of history. As long as the masses are deaf, dumb and blind, its more appropriate to use the word cult rather than group, its more descriptive and an accurate reflection of reality in such a group. Some cults are more heterogeneous than others, or have sub-cults or subcultures, but sub-cults or cult in its individual unit of expression, is characteristically homogenous. Its a hierarchy of cults. Just like you have to "pick your poisons" in life (as life is always polluted in some way), you have to pick your cult. Might as well pick something that aligns to who you are in truth. Some cults have different membership prices such as the place you live, but you might pay for what you get, in some way. We were not put on this place to get along, and the formation of the "cult" is the outcome of that. Humans, or rather their souls, are expressed socially. Maybe the evil in the leaders ("success" outliers) is that they play God for control, i.e. manifesting their psychopathy, i.e. projecting their (suboptimal) mental state onto society rather than undergoing "self-therapy". Their control of people prevents mobilisation of one from one cult to another (via tax, destruction...), ergo quashing the expression of the soul, which is not pleasant to experience/endure. Result = alphabet soup society, where the alternative was buffet.
