I don't think people realize the level of propaganda in their everyday lives. They believe everything comes about organically.
As an example, the CEO and founder of Netflix, Marc Randolph is the great grand nephew of Sigmeud Freud, as well as Edward Bernays (who literally wrote the book on American Propaganda). Netflix has its "What Everyone is Watching" library, YouTube has its "Trending Now", and any major book store like Barnes and Noble, Indigo etc. will have a few tables and bookshelves lined at the front of the store with "New York Times Bestsellers".
That's one of the big ways they get the masses. To make them believe that the majority are all consuming said content and print in mass quantities, and therefore they confirm to the majority to fit in, so to speak. In reality, that's the very information tailor made to steer the herd into whichever direction they'd like it go.
Another example in fluff headlines, could be something along the lines of "Everyone's Talking about Taylor Swift's Outfit on the Red Carpet." They like to say "Everyone is doing, or everyone is trying, etc etc"
Excellent point JE makes about education being a prerequisite for propaganda to be effective and that so called pseudo intellectuals have this need to pass on what they have been indoctrinated with. Later he rightly says that once one succumbs to the propaganda he becomes part of it. That's why technique takes on a life of it own once nudged in a particular direction. The ruling elite use this knowledge to their advantage with great success.
I still wonder whether our thoughts are our own despite not following the mainstream narrative. Perhaps we’re allowed to exist as we’re often in a state of flux forever trying to get to the truth. Just as we think we arrive at the truth the YT algo offers a new perspective. Hence, paralysed in action and pretty harmless.
I notice this on the type of material YT algo offers, mostly agreeable material with the occasional antithesis. Hence, I am under impression we’re still being manipulated and serve the agenda of balkanising opinion.
I am just hoping that your book list was devised prior to the YT algorithm worldview manipulation techniques ;-) so we might have a chance to disengage the world pulled over our eyes.
You make interesting points. I certainly agree that YouTube nudges people towards the "flux" state: a listless, vague hoping for something worthwhile which squanders itself on (generally) pointless content.
My book list evolved from paper reading. I responded to worthwhile authors to find the authors they cited and then looked for those books specifically.
Thank you Sam for the brilliant video as always. Would you kindly do an update video here on Substack regarding the book to buy and read unless the one you already did sometimes ago still holds today. The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to get your recommendations of as many books as possible to prep for a time when things like power, internet may not exist any more. Thanks a bunch.
Daniel kindly put together a list of all the books I have mentioned on my channel (see pinned comment here: https://youtu.be/CUS_70UWF88). Of course these are not all unqualified recommendations. But they are worth looking at with a critical eye.

I found Propaganda an easier read than the Tech. Society. I read it many years ago and what stuck with me is that a state without propaganda will die, it must engage in propaganda effectively or be swallowed up by another state that does. Thus we will be surrounded by propaganda forever in modern society.
Hey Sam, as always thanks for you hard work. I have 2 topics of propaganda I’m surprised you haven’t covered yet that I think might of interest.
1. Palestine, Ohio. The one after the other (I think 3 or more now) “accidental” train derailment and subsequent burning of cars carrying toxic vinyl chloride and the massive coverup of the companies/practices behind it. Along with the fact that a movie (white noise, 2022)not only foretold of this exact event taking place in Palestine but it even goes as far as using the citizens of Palestine, to act as doubles and other roles in the movie that was about their own town succumbing to an airborne toxic event, just as the literally are now. As you know the Elite tend to sometimes blatantly tell us what they plan for us. In my opinion, it is a localized beta test of how certain populations will behave function, and deal with an airborne toxin disaster (just as Covid was a beta test). Here is a independent link for you
2. The Ukraine war battle plans that were leaked by someone working for the government. Includes massive amounts of information, propaganda that we are fed about the the war being proved just as that. The leaker is being focused on in most main stream outlets, as to not keep focus on the massive density of the actual leak. They are busy getting trivial about the details of the event and the leaker (who is he, why did did it, should he have done it, how should he be charged etc. )as damage control and distraction from the ramifications this document has. Now I say this ,with tongue in cheek , on the validity of what these same news outlets are reporting. I’m a strong believer that we only see what the Elite allow us to see. All data leaks are not real, some were done by the same people the leaks are about. AKA OPERATION MINCEMEAT!!
There are so many lies and deceptions one cannot possibly cover even a fraction. I try to concentrate on concepts rather than instances (generally), since once one has the principles down one can unpick the individual instances.
I remember regarding your first point that a "space" shuttle exploded in 2003 and came down over another Palestine (Texas).
On your second, I think that this is unlikely to be a genuine leak. It's more a revelation of the method — largely because they have to prepare the public for the shock when things don't end up with the heroic victory for Ukraine they have been taught is coming.

That's all absolutely correct.
I always think to myself that I don't care how popular it is among lemmings to jump off a cliff, I'm not going (at least, not willingly).
Peace Sam,

Agreed!
God bless you sir, your reading and analysis are very helpful for me
Thank you Sam
This is another much appreciated, and engrossing talk.
