Dear Sam, have you ever made a post about the halal food industry? Quite many rules and 'regulations' that is not in the quran. I live in Scandianavia and often thought about if Scandinavians really are people of the book with regards to eating their meat.
This is an old video, and I have learned a lot since.
You mention Scandinavians as potential people of the book. I would like to know if they omit certain foods, or evince other behaviours which have brought you to this view.
If you can provide a summary / source (i..e primer), I would be interested to know more.
Dear Sam, I remember this YouTube post. Norwegians in general eat pork and are atheist(20% believe in God/Jesus). So I have concluded that I can't eat their meat. However the country still defines itself as Christian hence some few Muslims think its okay to eat their meat. But believing in Jesus as God is not a definition of ppl of the book in 'my book'🙂 Most of the Christians are doing shirk. I would love to see a post from you regarding this. Is Russian orthodox ppl of the book, who are actually ppl of the book today? Do you eat their meat? T C brother and thanks for all the effort you have put in.
No, I don't eat meat here just because it is eaten by Russian Orthodox people. I buy clean meat which has had the name of God pronounced over it.
Blinding exceptions aside, Russians who claim to be Orthodox know nothing about either their religion or the Bible. What they actually believe in is exactly what everyone else believes in: more for them. This is the world religion (or, at least, part of it) which is summarised in four planks by Jacques Ellul in his book Propaganda (see the end of the last paragraph, p. 39).
AoA, thanks Sam. After every video I watch of you I get the same thought, that Islam/deen/religion is quite simple and logical. So sad to see the state of brand islam today.
