Edward Bernays is the guy, Sam

Hi Sam

I thought it's about time I subscribed and supported you. It's the least I could do after following your work for over 7 years and for your kindness and generosity.

I'm currently recovering after some pretty nasty stomach surgery and what better opportunity to use my time wisely and read Propaganda. I managed to find a copy from Amazon for a very good price.

If I can get through Nietzsche and Evola, I should have no problem reading Jaques Ellul.

It depends on how interested you are in the topic. I find technical analyses of the modern herd offered in a theory-of-everything wrapper to be profoundly interesting, so Ellul is not challenging for me. Curious as I was, I in fact found correlations between his book Propaganda and the Qur'an and I think I made two posts on this substack exploring that.

Thanks. I'll have a look for those posts.

I'm fascinated by the topic. For me it's difficult to see how people fall for the brainwashing, manipulation and propaganda. Since childhood, actually probably from birth, I've never had to 'wake up'. I've always been this way. I think, in terms of a percentage of the overall population, maybe 0.00001 of people are like this. The manufactured pandemic really showed me the extent of the mind control. I always knew that critical thinkers were a very small part of society after spending over half a century observing all different types of people. But I was unaware of how easily some who I thought would be dead against the obvious tyranny, would be hoodwinked and be the first in line to roll up their sleeves. It actually shocked me.

Here's my long post correlating Noah's arc to total propaganda and Ellul's work: https://samgerrans.substack.com/p/whats-bigger-than-the-multipolar/comment/14206570#comment-14223617?utm_source=activity_item. This is the Qur'an's model of total propaganda in my opinion, and I trust it more than Ellul.

Here's my other smaller post drawing a correlation between the Qur'an and Ellul's work: https://samgerrans.substack.com/p/msm-looking-for-russian-traitors/comment/14091579?utm_source=activity_item.

0.00001% is a bit steep, but it is certainly a small minority.

Something you may be interested in Sam, or anyone else reading this for that matter.

It's a snippet from GB News. Although they claim to be an 'alternative' to mainstream media, they are owned, supported and run by the same companies. However this is very relevant to the subject matter. Maybe we don't have to try and wake people up. Some have an understanding of what's going on, maybe not to the extent or depth of it though. Nevertheless, I find this little piece encouraging.
