I'd be interested to hear more at some time about how the story of Joseph in S.12 is a good story from the point of view of your knowledge of scripts etc.
If you look at the structure of stories (e.g. The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell, or Story by Robert McKee), each has an arc, or number of arcs, with key nodes. If you take the first Starwars film, for example, it follows one of these patterns exactly.
The story of Joseph in the Qur'an presents a pattern or paradigm. It contains many of the plot points one sees in both Campbell and McKee.
