I had an argument with my neighbour once when I was living in Malaysia.

We had a dog and so in these parts of majority MOSLEM countries, it’s sinful to be keeping dogs.

We had a an argument and I simply said to him:

“Come inside and show me which verse of the Quran that states dogs are ‘haram’.

He simply replied “Oh no! We should ask an expert regarding this.”

There you go.

They outsourced all their thinking and common sense to their gurus.
